چکیده

Activated carbon (ACBS) derived from Balanites aegyptiaca seed shell was employed to remove crystal violet (CV) aqueous medium. The characterization of this ACBS has been conducted using analytical techniques such as SEM and EDS. adsorption parameters investigated were: contact time (5-120 min), temperature (303-333 K) initial concentration (100-500 mg/l). data were interpreted by kinetic, isotherms thermodynamic equations. kinetic match the pseudo-second-order model well, both external diffusion internal influenced dye onto adsorbent. isotherm is in concurrence with Freundlich intimating multilayer coverage CV on heterogeneous surface ACBS. quantities like ?S°, ?H° ?G° computed Gibbs plot. results implicated practicability endothermicity process. Regeneration studies show effectiveness CH3COOH solution recovery than distilled water, H2SO4, HCl, HNO3, NaOH solutions. regenerated recycled five times sustained an efficiency 92.08%.

Removal of Brilliant Green and Crystal violet from Mono- and Bi-component Aqueous Solutions Using NaOH-modified Walnut Shell

In the present work, the simultaneous determination of Brilliant green (BG) and Crystal violet (CV) dyes with overlapped absorption spectra in binary mixture solution, was carreid out using the partial least squares (PLS) and direct ortogonal signal correction-partial least squares (DOSC-PLS) methods. The results obtained indicate that by applying DOSC on the calibration and prediction data for...

Removal of crystal violet from water by magnetically modified activated carbon and nanomagnetic iron oxide

Magnetically modified activated carbon, which synthesized by nanomagnetic iron oxide, was used for fast and effective removal of Crystal Violet from aqueous solutions. The scanning electron microscopy (SEM) images of nano-adsorbent showed that the average sizes of adsorbent are less than 100 nm. The various parameters, affecting on adsorption process, were examined including pH and temperature ...

Application of Magnetic-modified Fe3O Nanoparticles for Removal of Crystal Violet from Aqueous Solution: Kinetic, Equilibrium and Thermodynamic Studies

The prepared magnetic-modified Fe3 O4 nanoparticles (Fe3 O4 -TAN) were used as adsorbent for removal of crystal violet (CV) from water solution. The effects of pH, contact time, dye concentration and temperature on adsorption were determined. The experimental data were analyzed using the Langmuir adsorption model. The data fitted well to the model with maximum adsorption capacities 84.0 mg/gund...
